Park Cities – Talented and Gifted, PC-TAG, is a not-for-profit advocacy group for all gifted children in the Highland Park Independent School District.

The main goals of PC-TAG are:

  • to promote awareness of and provide information about the educational and social/emotional needs of gifted children,

  • to support the Administration, Teachers, and Board of Trustees in their efforts to meet the needs of gifted students, and

  • to answer questions and serve as an additional voice for parents of gifted students in HPISD.

We strive to be effective advocates for gifted students and a valuable source of information for parents, teachers, and administrators.

PC-TAG was founded in 1993 by parents who were working with the Highland Park Independent School District to design a program for talented and gifted (TAG) students.

All funding for student and educator scholarships, classroom materials, speakers, publications, web site and other community education activities is generated through memberships and fundraising events.

PC-TAG is a 501(c)(3) organization and is a member of the Texas Association for Gifted and Talented.

PC-TAG Donated $42,000 to HPISD School Board!

Through your fantastic response to our second annual "TAG You're It!" fundraiser, PC-TAG was able to present a check for $42,000 to the school board on April 8th. This money will support over 15 different programs at the elementary schools, middle schools and high school; including curriculum enhancement materials for math and science, teacher training, and several academic competition teams. Thank you for your continued support of, and response to, our teachers who inspire our children.
